I desperately need to get into the habit of keeping a journal, it's just that I have that many projects on the go that finding time is difficult.
I've even had to borrow somebody else's skin for now, but I'll get round to designing my own at some point.

So I suppose the best way to start is with a quick recap of the fist bit of the year. I had a lot of time off last year due to the death of my little brother James last June. He was only 15, so you can imagine how hard it hit everyone.
I've been back at work about six months now and I've never been busier. I'm really lucky to have such amazing clients, every one of them stood by me whilst I dealt with my grief. My business has grown more in the last six months than at any other time in its four year history (Genesis2Revolution was four years old yesterday).
Most of the projects that I've got on the go at the moment are posted up on here as I finish them (except the website side of things), but I've got one massive project that I'm going to start posting sneak peeks of soon. I'm going to be illustrating and designing a range of children's books with a friend of mine who's a mega artist. There's 31 books in total and we've just finalized character design and the logo is done. The first book goes to print next month (June) and as soon as it does, I'll post all the artwork on here.
Now for the Dogue side of things. As most of you have probably seen, I've got two Dogue de Bordeaux's called Amber and Mischa, that absolutely dominate my life. Mischa is in season at the moment and will be having pups after her next season, so there will be lots of cute pup pictures up then. In the mean time, I'll keep posting pictures of the Dogues as more and more people seem to like them.
Now I've got this first journal out of the way, the plan is to do a new one each week with all of that weeks work and Dogue pictures.
Catch ya's soon and if you want to get hold of me for anything, either grab me on here, or facebook.

P.S.
Ive got a new business starting this month, another design company to run along side Genesis2Revolution, but concentrating solely pet/breeding related designs, so I'll post all that businesses stuff on here too.

I'll start this by wishing all of the people that have looked at my stuff, added me to their fav's & commented on my work a very merry christmas.

I've been reflecting on what has been a difficult, yet very rewarding year for me. I've set up my own business this year and luckily it's building up slowly but surely. It's not the best economic climate to start a business really, but if I can do it now it should be easy once the economy comes good. I'm just getting over an operation on my shoulder that's caused a two week hiatus from my work, but all seems well enough to be back at work in the New Year.

I sort of stumbled upon DeviantArt by accident, and I'm glad I did. I don't know about anybody else, but to me it's like a rollercoaster. One minute you're feeling great because everyone is telling you how great your work is, then the next minute you have a look at other peoples stuff and you feel massively inferior. At first I just thought my stuff was crap, now I look at better work and just aspire to be that good. It's great.

The aim is to get at least one piece a week up starting after the new year, I really want to start playing with photshop again, instead of just using it as a tool for work. That's my New Years resolution, what's yours? Let me know.

So, Best Wishes for the New Year to all that I have come across and will come across in the future. Whether you had the best year of your life or a year to forget, may 2010 be a better year for you.

How can a client make such a difference to the way you work?
I've got a couple of clients that really bring out the best in me, they just tell me what they want designing and leave the whole process up to me. And on projects like that it really isn't like work at all, it's such fun.
Yet I have one client in particular that, some times on a daily basis, makes me question why I became a graphic designer at all. Even if he were to read this he's so ignorant he wouldn't even realise it's him I'm ranting about. He makes my days feel like weeks!!!

That's my rant over, really sorry for boring you with it but I had to get it off my chest.

Thanks to everyone that adds my stuff to their favourites and a massive thanks to my watchers. It's all appreciated.

It might be a while before I get any new stuff up, I've just had an op on my shoulder, but as soon as I get back to work you'll see it first.
